I started playing the piano over 30 years ago and have been in love with it ever since. Early lessons with my favourite teacher as a child inspired in me a love of music-making that continued through my formative years and beyond. I began lessons on the piano and later took up learning the cello.

As childhood years turned to adulthood, my piano continued to be a source of comfort, an oasis if you will. Hours would pass without even realising as I got lost in music. From baroque to songs from musicals, I relished it all. Nowadays, I’m as comfortable playing Bach as I am the latest Adele number.

Through my years as a primary school teacher, piano playing was a skill in much demand! Singing assemblies, accompanying school production rehearsals, I was there and ready to play! Some of my favourite musical memories are of those resounding choruses of Food Glorious Food with my Year 6s.

Now as a parent with 2 young children, my dream of being a pianist is becoming a reality. I can finally share with others the passion of piano playing that I have so loved over the years.

With my wealth of sheet music available, I can provide the piano music you’re looking for for your next event. Whether it’s a wedding that you need the music provided for, or the easy listening pieces for a corporate event, contact me to see how I can help.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Her repertoire is extensive and very varied (classical, popular, jazz, wartime… in fact you name it, Sophie will play it) – she also sings beautifully and is extremely personable.
